A renewed wave of antisemitism and anti-Israel hostility is spreading across the globe.
On October 7, 2023, Israel experienced a devastating terrorist assault that marked one of the darkest days in its modern history. In the months that followed, the nation faced a multifront war against Iran and its terror proxies, including Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis, all of whom sought the destruction of the Jewish state. Though a ceasefire is now in place, the impact of these events continues to be felt across Israeli society.
Israel has also faced ongoing scrutiny in international forums and unfair treatment by segments of the global mainstream media. At the same time, Jewish communities around the world have experienced a sharp rise in violence, persecution, and antisemitic rhetoric.
Now is a critical time for Bible-believing Christians to stand against the growing poison of antisemitism, which only decades ago led to the murder of more than 6 million Jewish men, women, and children. Today, it continues to pose a real and present danger to Jewish people around the world.
As Christians, we support Israel because we believe the words of Moses and the ancient prophets were inspired by God. We believe the reestablishment of a Jewish state in the land promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is part of God’s unfolding plan.
We believe God still has a purpose for this nation and that Israel is called to be a blessing to all the nations of the earth.
The God who spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai is our God. Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are our spiritual patriarchs. Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Daniel are our prophets. King David, a man after God’s own heart, remains an enduring example of faith.
Jerusalem holds deep spiritual significance for us. The continued existence of Israel stands as a powerful testimony to the faithfulness of God and the truth of His Word.
We also remember that our faith is rooted in a Jewish Savior, whom we believe is the promised Messiah, revealed through the Hebrew Scriptures and whose message was carried to the world by His Jewish disciples.
In the face of rising global antisemitism and continued hostility toward Israel, we must send a clear and unwavering message that Christians stand with Israel and the Jewish people.
